Google PR minor Update - Feb 2012

Recently Google updated many blogs and sites with its latest page rank. The update was not expected and we think its still not over. Its just the beginning. Its just a pre-opening for a gran-opening. Well an overview of Google page rank is that its a representation of ranking system for a blog or site based on quality of your site and popularity of the same. According to our sources we can assure all new sites have received a good page rank, some even PR5. Can't imagine why Google initially promotes the newbies. Its always exciting that all the newbie site get good page ranks so as to keep them addicted to blogging and Google. While the new sites are gaining speed with Google page rank, the older sites like us have been demoted. Its very essential that older sites maintain quality content and high quality backlinks from really good sites. Its also very essential that you write very high quality articles for your sites and make it worth for your readers.

Possible Reasons for a Page Rank Drop:

• If you had a high page rank, then you would sell links for mutual benefits: Well according to Google this is not encouraged. So, revert back to original state to get a good page rank for your site.
• Not enough backlinks to your site: Initially for a new site its just traffic to get a good page rank, but later in time, its the backlinks that matter the most for your site.
• Not enough high quality backlink to your site: You might have also wondered that even if you have lot of backlinks you still are not gaining with page rank, then the problem might be you have not gained a high quality backlink to your site. Try and get backlink from a EDU site or a higher PR site in your niche.

• Import thing is to get backlinks from dofollow blogs: At the time you comment your link would be dofollow but sometime later the link might collapse and would no longer be a dofollow link to your site or your article.

HOW TO overcome this Google Page Rank thing?

• Check your feed burner settings:When you setup a feed burner, you must and should change the config stats to your site, so that when you comment on a comluv enabled dofollow blog then the backlink is fetched to your site and not to feed burner.
  
  This can be done by unchecking the 'Item link clicks', and this will enable backlinks to your site.
  
  
• Do more Guest Posting:  You might have not considered this as a option, because why would you give away your awesome content any other site just like that! But we believe that this impacts better as a high quality backlink to your site. If you have not started yet, then do it now.
• Build more backlinks:  If you want the Google page rank to stick to a number then build more backlinks to your site. This can be achieved by commenting on dofollow blogs that offer backlinks by comluv plugin.
• Inbound links to Outbound links ratio: This is a nice concept I learned recently, that you maintain your inbound links to outbound link ration very high. The higher the better. The inbound links are links to your sites and outbound links are juices your give out from your site. The lesser you give to others and the more you get to your site this obviously increases the ratio.

Google Page Rank Updated - November 2011

This time around google has been strict with its page rank allotment, not everyone is getting a page rank. I was hoping to be stay as a page rank 2 blog, but fortunately with google's grace I'm blessed with PR3 status. Now Smart Fat Blogger has joined PR3 prestigious club.

Now a little background check on how to increase google page rank or google PR as its known.

• Make sure that you write unique and attractive post.
• The novelty of the post and depth of understanding should be clear and precise and especially for the readers.
• Build lots and lots of backlinks for your blog, you could try commenting using comluv, guest posting (very effective), or link exchange (not recommended)
• Improve alexa rank and focus on increasing alexa links too which has become a quite a little concern in recent times.

Well google is always very speculative about it page rank and its algorithm, know body exactly knows how it calculates, although bloggers are able to predict their PR status bby experience. No worries if you still have not got a page rank for your blog, focus more on traffic and promotion for your blog.
