Are Links In Footer Treated Differently Than Paragraph Links?

In the recent times, due do vigorous changes in Google search algorithms, bloggers have taken steps which they imagined would never take along. Linkbacks are the reason most of the guest posts are published. As linkback is the only way to get a backlink to your site or blog. So, the question arise as to where to provide the link? Most guest as seen on many blogs are linked to the sites at the footer. Usually one or maybe two linkbacks are provided.

Footer Links Vs Paragraph Links

In recent time, many webmaster have declined providing links in paragraph, due to Google Panda update (search algorithm). The latest Google updates says that it stress more on the links given to content paragraph than to links as seen on footer portion. So, bloggers now see this as a opportunity, not to provide linkback at paragraph and linkback guest post only at bottom or footer.

Importance to Paragraph links

Now why there is more importance given to paragraph links to that of footer links. Its seen that quality content and information is the key to success of a blog. Only good new unique and attractive content stands out among other blogs, so any link which is given inside a paragraph would naturally provide more importance. Another important fact is that if the linkback is from a related niche and related keyword as anchor text, then you would have fetched a backlink to your site.

Does that mean Footer links are Useless?

Yes and No.

Why yes? If the links back is to related niche then preference is given by Google bots as to provide a reputation to that link.

Why No? because if the link is unrelated to your niche, and also diminish your blog's reputation and the linkback too sometimes.

What's the Solution?

There are some top niche blog who accept blog guest post for articles whose author bio is put up at the top of the article rather than at the bottom. Give a shot publishing at these sites. And moreover nowadays dofollow and nofollow are given same preference to some extent.

What's in it for Blogger and Webmasters?

Bloggers are too good, they see this as an opportunity with a beacon of light. Any link to be posted within a paragraph is considered as paid article, and anything not will be guest post. So, either ways until and unless your blog is filled with awesome content and audience, no change in search algorithm can make bloggers, webmaster demotivated.
